There are many disciplines within the area of forensic science that you may find interesting and want to pursue in a career in forensic science, including forensic biology, DNA, toxicology, controlled substances, fingerprints, firearms, questioned documents, footwear/tire track impressions, audio/video enhancement, and computer crimes.Select a discipline in forensic science that you find interesting and discuss the types of evidence that would be examined by that unit and the different analyses they could perform on those items of evidence.In response to your peers, discuss if there is any type of analysis that another discipline in forensic science could perform on the item of evidence. For example, a firearm could be tested for latent prints and DNA as well as firearms operability.
