Our school board is currently contemplating requiring all students to take a second language class up to the 105 level in order to graduate. This requirement should not be implemented. Our current requirement forcing students to take either Spanish, French, or German at the 101 and 102 levels is difficult enough for most students. Only a few select students (who either have cultural connections to the language or who want to go to colleges that require that number of second language courses) need to fulfill this requirement. Most students simply need some exposure to a second language--not complete fluency in the language.
In this short paragraph, Mary Frances Alroth is arguing that the school board should not change high school students' requirement to reach the 102 level in a second language class to requiring students to reach the 105 level in a second language.
Write a concluding sentence to this paragraph that fits the tone and content of the rest of the paragraph.
