It was nearly Halloween, and Anne was trying on her costume. She had made it herself, piecing together scraps to make a Raggedy Anne dress. She planned to use makeup on her face to look like the doll, and she had a wig made out of yarn pieces, too. She knew this costume would win her a prize at the school’s Halloween contest. She plucked at the fabric of her dress and smiled. It was going to be so fun!
